Brabus Old Timer

    • Brabus Old Timer

At the shop where I found the '84 AMG, last week I came across this in their shop. From what I could see, it was a European 2.3L from the bumpers, the exhuast system and the klima. There was no front spoiler. Does anyone have information about Brabus tuning the 2.3?

    • Hi MTI,

      I found this:

      M102 Brabus:

      name: AB1 AB2 2.6 [Leistungsversion]

      ccm: 1997 2299 2604

Bohrung: no changes no change 96,0 x 90,0

      compression : 10,2 10,2 10,2

      HP: ca. 136 ca. 150 160 (5200) [190 (5200)]

      NM u/min: 199 226 260 (3300) [242 (4500)]

I don´t know the technical terms, maybe someone can translate them for you.

      Regards,
      Olli

      Kit 1 (AB1): Displacement: 1997 ccm, Bore/Stroke: Stock, Compression: 10,2, HP: about 136, Torque: 199 Nm

      Kit 2 (AB2): Displacement: 2299 ccm, Bore/Stroke: Stock, Compression: 10,2, HP: about 150, Torque: 226

      Kit 3 (2.6 Performance Kit): Displacement. 2604 ccm, Bore/Stroke: 96,0 mm X 90,0 mm, Compression: 10,2, HP: about 160, Torque: 260 Nm

The basis for all those enigines were the inline fours. For Kit 1 the 2,0 ltr., Kit 2 had the 2,3 ltr. and the 2,6 was the 2,3 bored and stroked out.
